About Us

Dermot founded Sunbeam Veterinary Hospital in 2003. A graduate of The Veterinary College, U.C.D., he has
practiced veterinary medicine in New Zealand, Wales and in several veterinary practices around Ireland. Dermot is
totally committed to continuing professional development and has just completed Year 1 of a 2 year
Post-Graduate course in Small Animal Medicine

When you phone or call to the hospital Helen is more than likely the first person you'll meet. She is very
involved in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation yet still finds time to care for her many dogs and horses.
Emily has several years experience looking after animals in veterinary practices in Cork. Her exceptionally
caring nature and attention to detail is appreciated by all patients under her care and also their owners. She
has trained in the UK as a Hydrotherapist and is the chief therapist in our new Hydrotherapy unit.

Georgia is Dermot's 5 year old Chocolate Labrador and is a regular visitor to the hospital where she meets
and greets patients and their owners. As a blood donor she has helped save the lives of many seriously ill
dogs.
A Cork boy with experience both home and abroad, Joe brings many fine
qualities to the clinic and adds to the range of services that we provide.
Always eager to add to his sills base, Joe has recently completed a 2 year
post-graduate course in Small Animal Surgery
Nicola has worked in many veterinary clinics in Ireland and Australia and has
been with us from the beginning. She is a real animal lover and is the proud
owner of Holly, a dog she rescued several years ago.
