Sunbeam Veterinary Hospital welcomed its first patients on August 25th, 2003. We aim to provide the highest
quality veterinary care for all our patients in a friendly, caring environment. We continually strive to expand
and improve on the range of services we provide for our clients.
Medical:
We strongly believe that preventative medicine is the best medicine. Our hospital stresses annual check-ups for all
pets to identify any potential health problems at an early stage, so that corrective steps can be taken. Vaccination
schedules are discussed and tailored to the individual pet during this annual visit.
Diagnostic:
If medical test are required to further identify or monitor a health problem, we have a well equipped in house
laboratory to supply quality results. We also have accounts with many specialty labs nationally and internationally for
more involved cases.
Surgical:
Our hospital has a modern surgical suite with constant monitoring equipment available to handle routine as well as
emergency surgical procedures. Routine surgical procedures can be scheduled for any week-day.
Dental:
New research is showing that tartar accumulation and associated gum disease can have devastating effects on an
animal's overall health. Particularly at risk for disease are the heart, liver and kidney. Our vets include a dental
examination in each consultation and can recommend a preventative care programme at home. We can also
arrange a complete dental cleaning to remove tartar and calculus and polish the teeth.
Quality Pet Foods:
We carry a full line of Royal Canin diets. This includes prescription diets for pets with health problems that can be
managed with diet, as well as maintenance foods for different life stages (Paediatric, Adult, Mature, Senior) and
breeds (Yorkshire Terrier, Labrador Retriever, Boxer, German Shepherd, Poodle, Dachshund).
