Orthopaedics
We offer a full range of orthopaedic services from fracture repairs to spinal surgery and everything in between. We perform lateral sutures, TTAs and TPLOs for cruciate ligament ruptures. Our onsite x-ray suite and CT scanner allow us to work up lameness cases fully and create appropriate treatment plans. Our hydrotherapy service can enhance your pets rehabilitation where appropriate.

We have several vets holding certificates in Surgery and are proud to offer an extensive range of soft tissue surgeries.
Surgeries we can perform but not limited to;

Neurology
Neurology is a specialised area of veterinary medicine involving the diagnosis and treatment of the brain, spinal cord and neuromuscular disorders.
Neurological conditions can be complex, confusing and challenging for both pet owners and vets. At Sunbeam Veterinary Hospital, our vet Sophia is the only vet in Ireland to have completed a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary practice of Neurology. She is happy to help you clarify these complex cases and make a plan to diagnose and treat these neurological diseases.
We are happy to see all neurological conditions including:
- Seizures and paroxysmal disorders
- Central and peripheral vestibular diseases
- Inflammatory and infectious CNS diseases
- Neuromuscular conditions (Myasthenia gravis, DM)
- Spinal cord disease (IVDD, FCE, Wobblers)
- Cranial nerve deficit conditions (trigeminal neuritis, facial paralysis)
- Neurological emergencies (spinal trauma, status epilepticus)
Spinal surgery: hemilaminectomy and ventral slot surgery for IVDD is also offered as part of our neurology service.
