Niamh graduated from the University of Dublin in 2017. She completed a rotating internship at a large multi-disciplinary referral hospital in the North West of the UK. A move to general practice in Wales and subsequently emergency practice confirmed an aspiration to pursue further training in small animal surgery. She moved home to Cork to undertake a specialist internship in small animal surgery at Gilabbey Veterinary Hospital in 2019. She completed the RCVS certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Cert AVP) in 2021. In 2022, Niamh was awarded Advanced Practitioner status in General Small Animal Surgery by the RCVS.
